Special Announcement for Members of the Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library

As a benefit of membership, the Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library partnered with the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to offer deeply discounted tickets for selected classical performances this season!
Your membership entitles you to purchase up to two $25 tickets for the July 18th performance of Coppélia by the New York City Ballet at 8 p.m. and the August 14th showing of Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights with music performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra at 8 p.m.

If you are interested, please mail the attached form and check or cash to the library care of Gloria Marceau and the Friends of the Saratoga Library. All orders must be received by April 30.

If your membership has lapsed, this is a great opportunity to renew and take advantage of this special deal!

Considered one of the greatest comedic ballets of the 19th century, this restaging of Coppélia was co-commissioned by SPAC and premiered in Saratoga in 1974 with a new third act. The visually stunning performance is described as one of the “happiest ballets” and tells the story of an eccentric inventor and his lifelike creations.

The final installment of this summer’s cinema series at SPAC comes to life with the Philadelphia Orchestra providing the score for the romantic comedy City Lights, which was acknowledged as one of the “100 best American films ever.” And despite being a silent film, director Charlie Chaplin composed the music.

Once your tickets are purchased, you will be notified about picking them up from the Friend’s Book Shop.

Please DO NOT contact the SPAC box office! Questions? Contact Gloria Marceau at raceatspa@gmail.comraceatspa@gmail.com.

Sincerely,
The Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library
