About Us
Books, Community, Friendship: Be a Friend of your Library
Since its establishment in 1976, the Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library have been dedicated to advancing the library’s objectives. Over the past thirty-five years, we have actively sponsored and launched various programs, offering valuable support through membership fees and fundraising initiatives. Advocacy has played a pivotal role throughout our history. In the early years, we served as a vocal advocate during School Board budget meetings. In the late eighties, our organization contributed significant energy and leadership, playing a crucial role in the successful passage of the bond issue that paved the way for the construction of the current library facility.
Mission Statement
We are committed to aiding the public library’s programs, staff, and facilities. As a non-profit community group, our aim is to offer financial support and volunteer services that the library might not be able to furnish on its own.
