Annual Awards Presented to Volunteers

Pat Ritzert, out-going President of Friends of the Library presented the Marie Madden Award to volunteer Gwen Ivins. This annual award is for library staff, volunteers or community members demonstrating distinguished service and was presented at The Friends annual meeting on May 20th.

The Friends of the Library Visits Hyde Park!

The Friends toured the F.D.R. National Historic Site in Hyde Park including Springwood (F.D.R.’s home), Val-Kill (Eleanor’s cottage), the Presidential Library and museum. A group lunch at the Culinary Institute nearby rounded out the day.

The Friends’ Marie Morrison Outreach Program

Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library participated in Saratoga County Kids Care Club’s 2015 BookShare service project. Their Club’s members collected over 3,500 gently used and new books for its 2015 project in honor of Dr. Seuss. Through The Friends’ Marie Morrison Outreach Program, we donated childrens books to their worthy cause.
